Activity - Breakout Room Discussion

NoteBreakout Room

In breakout rooms, read the project description, and then go through the following items:

  • Go through the Google Form survey to get a sense of what kind of data are being collected. Note: while the data you submit will not be shared, it will be stored on Google Drive. Do not use your real information if you don’t want it to be saved!

  • Open the survey .csv file (you can do this in Excel, Numbers or a similar application) and take a look at the raw dataset.

    • What pieces of information are personally-identifying, and would need to be removed to create an anonymized dataset appropriate for analysis and sharing?
    • What other kinds of information are being collected?

You will have 20 min in break out rooms. Please choose someone in your group to share your group’s main discussion points to the larger group after.
